My first post from France

This is the view from Place Bellecour, in downtown (presqu’ile) Lyon. “Presqu’ile” means “almost island” in French. The main area of Lyon is a long peninsula, made by two rivers, the Rhone and the Saone. They come together at the end, making Lyon feel much like an island. It only takes about five to ten minutes to cross, though, and there are tons of cool bridges.
